Echandia to strengthen management – Fredrik Hellström join as COO

Swedish ESS supplier Echandia is entering an intensive growth phase and scaling its organization. In order to strengthen the management and lay the foundation for continued growth, Dr. Fredrik Hellström left his role as project manager for the submarine development and procurement project A26 at Swedish Materiel Administration (FMV) to join Echandia as COO.

Hellström’s experience in wide range of areas, such as management, R&D, and complex large-scale project administration will be a great contribution to Echandias future development to further electrify the maritime market.

With his background and experience of management and complex integrations and technology Fredrik will contribute to Echandias goals to electrify maritime, says Magnus Eriksson, CEO of Echandia. 

As COO, Hellström will be responsible for the daily operations and ensure that Echandia continues to meet customers’ expectations. Dr Hellström will also be responsible to develop organizational capabilities, processes and grow Echandia’s already skilled team to meet the markets needs in this area.
